What is Irinosol 100mg?

Irinosol 100mg is a 5ml vial containing 100mg of irinotecan, made in Pakistan by Pharmasol. Irinotecan blocks an enzyme called topoisomerase I, which cancer cells need to unwind and copy their DNA. Without it, the cells cannot divide and they die. The hospital pharmacy dilutes the vial into a drip bag before your treatment.
